Hi Alan,
The juxtaposition of dark and light is striking and really makes this work and I very much like the recession of the land. The soft edges in the ocean suggest movement whilst the clear sky lets the eye return easily to the focal areas. Very well done.

Oh wow! When I first saw this on my screen, I almost turned to my hubby and said, "Doesn't this remind you of that section of coast on Vancouver Island that we liked so well?" Then, I see where you are located! Neato! Is this, indeed, inspired by a place you visited on Vancouver Island....between Tofino and Ucluelet, to be exact? Even if it isn't, you've captured that region beautifully. What a wonderful painting! I like the title, too.
