Arlene,

I sent you copies of the only two cp works I've done--a dog and a landscape--with the email containing my mother's pictures. Did you get them? Let me know if you did not, and I will send them again.

Look forward to learning the techniques. That picture is truly stunning. So real.

It has been a pleasure watching you create a graphite into a masterpiece. It is breathless. Also congradulations!

Awwww geeze Arlene, this is simply fantastic! I had to go check to see if I was in the color pencil forum. Thought it was oil or acrylic or somthing....

Bubi thanks I'm now working on a small (4" x 6") orchid, curtesy of Miss Mouse...needed something of natural beauty to gaze at after this week.

Once I'm finished with that I'm starting on a piece in tribute to what happened this past week.

Beau would that be with one lump or two?

Shirl, Magical, Mystical, and Rose: thank you.

Stacy, the pictures never downloaded...while i got the email, i just had a blank area for the pictures

WOW!!!!!! That is really nice. I haven't done metal yet but have a bunch of copper and chrome and metal tea pots. I need to get on the stick. I just got a set of Bruynzeel pencils and am anious to try them out.
Wonderful work.

Thanks Animal, it's all a matter of isolating the details and seeing them as shapes...

cbarber, thank you also...let me know how the bruynzeels are...I've heard good things about them.

Thanks Wings, I've started a new floral...a dahlia taken from one of Miss Mouse's photographs and cropped.

Wolfhound,
thank you. Actually this is what keeps me sane...especially after the tragedy. :crying: it was soothing to get lost in drawing.

Whoa, this is really a gem. I shall have to stop in here more often, I'm off to look at the orchid next. You know that I understand you when you say how soothing it can be to get lost in building something like this. It sure must be especially rewarding when the results come out as spectacular as this.

That's really beautiful! I like it very much!

What kind of paper did you use? Was it just white or tinted?
