This is not exactly a studio tip, but perhaps outside your studio.
My neighbor drove a short section of pipe into the ground, say a flower bed, or wherever. Then he fitted another long piece of metal pipe inside that, then fitted a bought short flag pole inside the top of that. I haven't tried it, but he can take the flag down easily by pulling the pole out of the insert in the ground. I have just a standard bracket flag pole, but I like the straight up look.
