I like this one because it's a perfect beautiful depiction of fall.
the stuff going on under the dock is unbelievable!!!

compositionally wonderful
(as Mark remarked...great stuff under the dock)
and I add, on the horizon

the only thing that really disappoints, to me,
is the dock wood...
more to a bit after where he is and on to the foreground...

wonderful memory...depicted (almost) wonderfully...(just imho)

definitely, good feelings evoked...

ah but we need what the wind brings...

this is evocative of many feelings...

for me it is the grass and the under the dock place.

I'm apprehensive in viewing this as that vertical bright line between those left most vertical posts, I suppose, should have a discernable origin. I also see a loss of depth between those posts and the far tree line as their values are similar. It's a very interesting subject and theme with an appropriate mood. Nice size for such a painting,

There is a light across the river, for boats. So I painted it. It seemed to fit.

love the detail and contrast. Solid forms really make me want to see this way. Its so solid one can't lift any part of it.

I'm going to be picky and say I'd like to see some fine details on the top of the platform... dark lines between boards.... to be consistant with the rest. I know the type of day here, but perhaps a hint of shadow under man might give him a little more weight.

very nice work and happy you shared this.

I agree -but a little is disturbing -

I need a little time to figure it out: You have perfect reflexion - I miss the tree-row or busches on the water and the reflexion of the light across starts from there - use a mirror !!
