The owner is from Chicago and comes out here to Idaho on a regular basis. She has several friends that come with her and they all take their camper trailers up on the Salmon River to fly fish for Salmon. They named their little group "Sisters on the Fly." The background is scenery from around here where I live. This area was and still is, to a degree, home to the Nez Perce Native Americans. She wanted a wrap around scene that depicted their lifstyle which included the fishing for and drying of Salmon. On the back of the trailer she wanted a Nez Perce madien riding the back of a bucking Salmon. I used I used lead based graphic enamels by "One Shot." I was going to go wiht "House of Color" laquers but this triler is going to take a beating I want to be able to repair it easily. Since I haven't used Laquers that much I went with what I know. Customer was happy and said that it was even a better trailer than Ralph Laurens. Don't know if that was true but with the check and that comment I was happy. Thanks!

Ed this looks wonderful! You did a great job! I especially like Nez maiden riding the salmon "bareback"! Interesting concept.

Wow, talk about making a small trailer seem like a worthwhile consideration... nice job Ed. The mural tells a great story without being over-done. Just curious, how long did the project take you to complete?

From concept to finish about 80 hours. After my first block in i had to go back and start over. The trailer is 7 feet wide, 7.5 feet high and 18 feet long. I took digital pictures of the trailer and superimposed my layout on the pictures to get customer approval. So, actual paint time was about 60 hours I guess. I need to break those figures down in my bookwork to see if I got close to my "bid" in regards to each section of work. I had considerd putting a moose in the tree line on the back but figured it would catch a bullet come hunting season.

Hi Ed !! Welcome to the Airbrush forum from up here in Lewiston. Great job on the trailer.

My family and I love to ski Brundage and this certainly looks like familiar scenery to me. That's so cool that your work is on tour across the country!hahaha.

Probably right about the bullet in the Moose too. A wise decision on your part.

Ed, I'll be sure to look for you. Is the "Messiah House Atelier." going to be right on the main street of New Meadows? Any target date for "soon"?

By the way, I have to ask if you know some freinds of mine there, Rufus and Anne Coles ?

Origionally we were going to be just off HWy 95 downtown. That buiding fell through and now we are working on a new building just off the intesection of 95/55. The old Forest Service building. The price is high so we may be forced to completly relocate and if we do it will be over by Donnally. We knwo Rufus and Anne quite well. Lovley people. Do you know the Croghs?

Can't say for sure, might know the face. I came and preached for Rufus several times but that was a few years ago. Did some door to door work with him too, what a great time had!

Well, keep up the good work, Ed, and we'll stop and see you when we can.

BTW ,most of my family is in Boise so we travel through Donnelly also, and personally, with that new resort going in that would seem to me to be a great location for the studio.

I'm sorry to say I somehow missed this one. I'm glad I found it though. Great job. How much of this was painted by hand and how much of it was airbrushed?
