A friend sent this to me and I had to share it.

'On one of my graphics lists, I befriended a lady whose daughter writes poetry. Thought I would share this with you.

The Day The Eagle Cried

Today our nation watched as disaster did strike
Fire and ashe covered the sky well into the night
We listened to the screams of victims and on lookers around
When we watched as the World Trade Twin Towers fell to the ground.
Listening to reports of brave fireman and police losing their lives
While in the buildings trying to help victims survive.
Truly this is the day the Eagle cried.

Praying for the victims and their families as the day turns to night
As we watched the Towers and the Pentagon burn in fright.
This day will be etched in our minds for years to come,
We will remember this day forever, September 11, 2001.
We will look back on this day with heavy hearts
and tear filled eyes
'Cause this is truly The Day The Eagle Cried.'
