Tortillons vs. blending stumps?

What are the differences in applications for tortillons and blending stumps?

I've begun using some different numbers of B tonings in my pen-and-ink illustrations, and I use different sizes of tortillons to blend them.

I've also seen blending stumps in the supply store that I frequent. When might I want to use blending stumps rather than tortillons?

One is rolled paper and the other is made from felt (stomps)and has a fine texture to it I like them better they sand out easer shape nicer and last longer. even tho there a bit more in price. well worth it .... :rolleyes:
