i am about to finish my very first acrylics painting and want to present it on this forum - i also just sold it. i am a watercolors painter breaking new grounds - comments and critique are very welcome!
the painting is 36 x 48 cm on canvas. the rose itself ws taken from a very small photo, the background was invented.

It's a beautiful painting - sort of poetic!!!
It has an abstract quality to me.

What a wonderful rose. You really did a magnificant job blending your colors, and the background is really nice. It doesn't distract from the subject at all.

Terrific effort for your first acrylic, very impressive indeed. Good colour and depth, unusual with the offset composition but very effective. Well done.

I too began with watercolors, then went to acrylics, but I can't say my first effort in acrylics was this polished. Watch out . . . acrylics are addictive! Congrat's on selling it! :)
