I'm not sure I'm done with this. It is in that "sit around the studio and wait for nits to expose themselves" stage. Comments on finishing welcome.
PS: It is 15 x 22" transparent watercolor on CP, Arches 140lb.

I really think the water needs more attention..
I doesn't really "read" as water if you know what I mean..

I'm with JJ on the water, it needs some horizontal strokes to get the water look and also some reflections from the foreground boats. The backgroiund boat on the right also looks to be rising up, you may need to ground it with some reflections.

I'm with Marty on this but be careful because right now it looks fresh
and alive and playing to much with watercolor can easily be detected
and usually end up losing a marvelous spontaneity~ Nice!

I see what the others mean about the water - but please be careful not to ruin this beautiful painting by overworking!
I love the looseness and despite the water, the overall effect/atmosphere is just great!! :clap: :clap: :clap:
