A new project has been announced in the WetCanvas! project system!

Title: Spring Bloom Project
Project Leader: sassybird
Relative Difficulty: Irrelevant
Type Restrictions: Any Type
Medium: Mixed Media
Subject: Not Applicable
Days open for signups: Always
Maximum participants allowed: Unlimited

Description:

It is time to get out all those bits and pieces left over from other projects and put them together in a piece that celebrates Spring.

There are no restrictions on what you do, how you do it, or what you use. Let your imagination run wild. Imagine a Spring garden blooming and portray it in your own way.

Additional Information:

For more information on the project: Click here! (http://www.wetcanvas.com//Community/Projects/index.php?cmd=view_details&proj_id=684)

Remember, in order to help keep the discussions on projects organized, you should post your questions, suggestions, and comments on submitted work here in this thread. By doing this, we allow other non-project efforts to not get \"pushed down\" by a swarm of project-related threads.

After seeing all the work you folks have been doing over the past year, and knowing that mixed media artists never throw anything out;) I am hoping to see some of you take up the challenge of this project:)

Yeah, cuz I don't really have anything to work on right now. LOL. Mine will be in late May/early June if that's ok.

Shouldn't we just start calling these projects....The Usual Suspects ?

Thanks for starting it Sassybird !

rofl Li you are too funny:D Mixed medium artists are still suspects in the art world, so that would be a perfect title for the projects:D

Kali, you are too funny. It figures that you already had something done already, in search of a project ! You are the most prolific artist I've ever known and everything you do is infused with energy and life. I love that big thistle flower. How did you seal this ? Car laquer again ? LOL. I also like the assemetrical petals running on both sides.

Thanks for getting us started !

I hiked a new area today. It was ravaged by a horrible wild fire 2 years ago in the high desert here. Today it was a magnificent field of wild flowers the likes of which I've never seen here because the sage and brush usually kills everything off.

I'm going up again tomorrow to take pics and collect samples for my entries.

Thanks Li..

I had the idea in my head since i started to do these plastic and glass plates then, sassy came up with the project!!!!!!!!!

Seemed ideal to me.

I don't know what the laws are like over there but, here it is illegal to pick wild flowers, so we can only get them in bunches from flower stalls.

You can get some nice ones though.

Yup, car laquer was used as is used for almost everything with me at the moment.

I will look forward to seeing your entry.
