Thank you, Amy. I am experimenting and playing with my beads:D One of the things that I am surprised by is the tactile pleasure that holding the beads and stones I get. I am slowly working up to doing some wire work, but I want to take my time. I also want to try one of the garden bracelets. Wish someone would do an article on them (hint hint):D

Very pretty! I know just what you mean. I love the feeling of beads in my hands and creating with them does "send me". It's hard to describe but somewhere I heard a woman say beads talk to her. I think that is pretty acurate.

That is very pretty. I love all the inspiration I get here from others' beautiful works :)

I have recently started working with real gemstone beads instead of just plastic, glass, or cheap metal; I love the feel of them in my hands. I bought a strand of 6 mm hematite beads this weekend (destined to become a handflower, no doubt) . . . and oooh, the weight and texture is SO nice :) It makes me WANT to wear them.

Hi Susie,

I love working with semi-precious stones, and here are a few links for you to look into. I have also been working with copper beads, which is my favorite metal:)

Ooooh Charissa, gorgeous stones and most excellent design! That tactile thing - I so know what y'all are talking about. I have a few items that wind up (singly, not as an ensemble LOL) in my pocket that I fiddle with and fondle - a worn piece of shell, a stone from my grandparents driveway that looks like a bit of dried apple, and a silver dollar that my Grampa carried in his pocket from waaaay long before I was born. It's an almost mesmerizing thing, is it not? Most beads do that for me - I have made some pieces based more on 'feel' than any other quality.

lol Charlee. I tend to carry things in my pockets also. They are comforting. I also always have a bit of red on me somewhere, because it is a high energy color for me. It is funny the things we cling to:)
