Hi everybody I am a beginning painter and am shopping for a digital camera. I would like to take pictures of my artwork. I also need close up capability for photographing armor models that I build and enter in competition. In need to take my photos from very close to frame an area of 2"by2" at times. Is this possible with a Dig. Cam. I am looking to spend at the most $400.00. I'm not computer or digital savvy so if you would explain in laymans terms I would be grateful, and for any opinions that anyone has.
Thanks Tony P.

Hi Tony
I looked for almost 6 months at different cameras.
The one I finally choose was Canon PowerShot A20.
It has 2.1 mega pixels.
The price was around $400.00.
If you look under Fawn in this forum as well as Hatteras Revisited in the Landscape Forum it will give you an idea.
One of a painting, the other of wildlife.
I am quite pleased with what I got for the price I was willing to pay.

Hi Leaflin, Yes, it does look like your pictures came out great. Thats probably the camera I am going to get. My son in law works at Circuit City and can get it for cost around 200.00 or less. I 'm looking foward to getting it so I can post, but have to wait till I go back to work (money's tight)!!
Thanks Tony
