I've also posted this in the watercolours forum.
Been away for the last few days but still managed to get some painting done
This was one of the fastest paddlesteamers on the Clyde built by the Caledonian Railway Company for the competition with the Glasgow & South Western Railway for the traffic for Dunoon and Rothesay, I'm at present doing another with one of the "Caley" steamers racing the Waverley.
I think she's not a bad looking steamer considering she was built in 1895 , unfortunately there was no colour photography then her livery must have been something to behold , with her Navy Blue hull White upper work , pink railings and lining round the saloon windows , Blue vents, and large yellow chimney all gliding past at 18 knots wonderful!!!
It's 19" x 13" approx on heavy duty cartridge paper
many thanks-------Alan
