Email Invitation?

So is everyone else who set up a gallery with Art Agent getting those emails inviting them to exhibit? Stupid...it was in my early morning huge batch of emails so I deleted it. But I know there have been threads here about people getting this emails and warning that it is hype and to be careful. I get so nervous about viruses and anything not quite right I delete too quickly sometimes.
Anyhow, I figured I would mention it again in case some people had not seen the threads before....and ended up having problems later because they responded to this.

It seems to me that the professional thing for these people to do, if they are legit, would be to go through Wet Canvas to issue a formal invitation - rather than farming email addresses off the galleries.

I wouldn't touch this one with a ten-foot pole!

yeah..put a copy of the letter in the scumble...just a way for someone to make money off ya, they want $25 a month to display your stuff on a website that doesn't exist yet plus they want you to 'apply' and send 8x10 prints of LOTS of your work....hmmmm....
