I finally figured out how to post my images. I just couldn't seem to get the hang of making things small enough... and this is macro....

These two paintings are based on some macro photography I did some years back while night diving. I think I'll probably do some more because I liked the uniqueness of the forms.

Title #1: "Cleaner Shrimp"
Title #2: "Sea Fan"

Medium: Transparent watercolor with acrylic wash in background
Paper: Arches 300# watercolor

Absolutely lovely...

the shapes play well with each other and the colors are wonderful.

Is there any chance you post the picture you based this on? It would be nice to see where this beauty comes from.

Hi Dianne,
These have an almost abstract look, not surprising considering the subject and the macro shot. Wonderful colours, beautifully rendered, marvelous work.

Diane these are delightful!
Your colours are so rich and vibrant, and the black really shows them off.
That must be a lot of fun to night dive.
