The first one, "Veriegated Community" is my favorite...not sure why, maybe it is the looseness, but not business - and even though many colours are there...they each exist in their own body space...and I like the absorbing black in the background of all three very much.

the first one is messing nicely with my head
like you deconstructed truth
and now the pieces wont go back together again
left alone they work into their own patterns
which deepen
and stop dead

Yeah, okay, I can go with that too. *nods* Deconstruction is a good word. Disassembling the machine to see how it works, unable to put it back together again...humpty dumpty...and it's never the same again.

me: Yay!! I got it back together! But wait, what's this spring?!

Wunnerful as always, Gar. Is that black gesso, or acrylic base?

Macro, actual size and micro....

Yeah, that first one is tribal. Definately a hit for me.

Are you familiar with the painter, Howard Hodgkin? Your
work has a similar, layered and gestural quality, but curvilinear
rather than right angled. It's only an opinion but I think that
sometimes signatures can distract from the work.

Michael-Ann - Thanx.. "loose" is my 2nd middle name.

Michael - Ah yes, "deconstruction". Finding out what things are made of.. or aren't made of. F'ing with ingrediants. My specialty.

Tamana - Hope life has been treating you fairly well up in NC. :D And it's black gesso.

Jnet - Hey Girl. Brett is well. He's writing a lot these days, and playing saxophone. Astronaut and Gar are yer friends.

somerset - Thank U.

Kelly - "Macro, actual size and micro...." didn't quite se them that way but i believe you are correct. B well my friend.

Aurora - "tribal" is my 3rd middle name. ;)

3bristles - not familiar with Howard but i will look into his werk. Thanx, and i hear you on the sig. I don't sign everything on the front. A couple of these sigs might be a bit slooppy or out of plasce but then again i did all 3 of these paintings in a bout 2 or 3 hours. They almost felt more like sketches too me.

Love and creation for all.

Piece. ;)

interlinking separates

My friend in Seattle had "Veriegated Community" framed. thought i'd share the results. The black frame looks ill. :D
