Today I started my first contemporary painting.
How do you like it? Do you think I'm on right track?
Thank you for your comments and critique!

Love the colors and the flow of the lines in this piece.
I see a hint of lips on the "face" and am secretly hoping they will not reappear. I enjoy it very much with no facial features at all, allowing the emotion around define the feeling.
Keep going! This is excellent!

i like the interconnecting lines, you can control the movement of the viewers eyes that way. i wonder how much you could push the play between the flat and the modeled areas?

Wonderful vibrancy. I remember the sketch you did for this. I think it's turning out quite well. I wouldn't worry too much about messing it up. Remember -- paint dries and can be sanded and painted over. Follow your instincts. :)

Good work so far. This sets up a mystery in my head . . . why is she here . . . what is she up to . . . why do I think it is serious mischief . . .
You're doing a great job on several fronts with this painting. I look forward to the next 'episode'.
