I painted this today for a group activity. Took about an hour or so to do.

Done in Painter using the camel brushes and fine feathering:)

Gloria, you're getting very proficient at doing these nice paintings.

You'll have to prepare a class for us someday too.

These are lovely pansies! That's really good, especially for just an hour's work. It always take me forever to do anything digitally. :)

Thanks for the very nice comments:)

Jet, I have been thinking about writing a sort of beginner tut for Painter, so thanks for saying that.

I played around with the pansies a little more earlier today......... here's the new improved version, lol!

Jet, I finally got busy and did write a tutorial for a pansy painting in Painter. With any luck at all, I should have it up on site by tomorrow, in which case I'll post a link to it:)

Gloria, nice pansies, very delicate flowers. :) :) :) I liked a bit more the second version than the first one, it seems to me that in the second picture both the jar and the flowers weight the same in the composition (it's just a subjective opinion...perhaps I'm wrong).

Wow! you've done a tutorial! I'm eagerly waiting for it....I want to learn, I want to learn...

Gloria,

you just get better and better... The second version has my vote, it lost a lot of digital blur of the first one. Wonderful details and a rich color palette.

Wow, thank you so much!!

I thought i'd better add this about the tut I wrote (which I'll post a link to later today). It is really for beginners, getting them familiar with drawing and then painting a subject. In this case, a single pansy:)
