Hi All:: Thought I would start the wash as it is close to midnight, my time.

The sun did shine today and labrador girl dog, Eve, and I checked out all the flower beds to see what was up showing new life. Threw her the odd tennis ball, now and then, to keep her interested. I just love checking every day or two to see what has survived our very cold and lots of snow past winter.

JJ I am sure you are around; so carry on while i get my eight hours snooze time \

Cheers,

Gail

I'm almost afraid to post now. I killed a thread :o I've killed my first thread here :( Can I ever show my face here again?

Hi Gail, wasn't it a nice bright day though? I tried to paint ... not very sucessfully .. oh well , there's always tomorrow. Sweet dreams.

I have all sorts of bulbs popping; but only the crocuses flowered so far .. tulips should be soon. The peonies have shown through the mulch and my shrubs have baby leaves . :)

Christine - how is it possible to kill a thread? What do you mean? I must have missed something again.

Great day to everyone yet to come - I'll peek back in a more civilized hour ....

nighty night ..

Hi Gail:) JJ mightn't be around but I am.........
I have just taken 4 loaves of Sirnica bread out of the oven (Croatian Easter bread). They smell delicious and since the mixture has got rum and liquer in it, I'm sure they're going to taste delicious too!
Was going to make HotXbuns, but saw this recipe in the paper.
I love making bread.
Now I have 7 egg whites left over so will make meringues and take to the family tomorrow.

Still preparing for our holiday, but getting sidetracked with painting one of Em's angels that she posted here a while ago.

My sister and husband are going to use our house for a few days while we are away, so extra preparations are needed (and a list of instructions, especially for the security system). And a list of instructions also for the appliances - washing machine will only go on delay, remotes need tapping or thumping to react sometimes etc etc...:D

Hope you are all having a lovely Easter break:)

Hi Christine, Sue, you snuck in while I was rambling...........

Good Morning/Evening All

Had a good day here. Did some gardening (with the help of the dogs), met a new neighbor, visited with a friend and painted.:)

AuntChristine, which thread did you kill? If it was yesterday's wash, I suspect that it is because no one has the answer to your question.:)

Gail, I did not have to throw balls for our girls (who are more of the "you threw it, you pick it up" type anyhow) as there was a curious bunny who kept hopping by. He would come by, just out of range, set the dogs off and then disappear.:D Then, when they had quieted down, he would come back... :D

Sue, I have rhubarb coming up, but with the possibility of snow for the next month, I hope that nothing else shows up for a bit.:)

Lulu, mmmm, Easter Bread. I might still bake some, but will have to see how the day goes tomorrow.

Going back to watching tv and painting. See you in the morning.

Take care.

Evenin' all . . .

We had an adventure today that cost me 1/2 day vacation time! Got a call at work about 11am that Don had left a gate open and the dogs got out. Toto, who is usually our runaway, came back, but Peaches (who is an 8lb pekingese and will be one year old next week) didn't. He went out to drive the neighborhood again and didn't find her so I left work at 11:30 to help. I walked a couple of miles up hill and down calling for the little Houdini, then came back and got the car and drove around again. Came back and tried calling all the shelters - - they were closed today. Finally, we decided to make one more trip around, together this time. Got out the driveway, turned the first corner, and there she was. Hot and disoriented, but safe and well . . . her first runaway lasted 3 hours and had us worried to death.

So . . . how was your day? Once Peaches was safely home, we had lunch and went to work on the newspaper! Can't even get a vacation out of a vacation day. LOL Did go to a new Japanese restaurant for dinner - it was fantastic!

ALSO . . . got my Sumi-e supplies from Dick Blick today. Can't wait to give it a try. I'm hoping to use the technique with watercolors as well as ink, but it looks like there's quite a learning curve.

JJ - how ya doin, GF? You've been quiet . . .

Hope Susan's home. Guess that depends on how far Mt Snorgle is from Florida, huh?

XOXOXOXO

It's early, but I'm off to bed.

AuntChristine, the answer to your question is sorta posted, I think I saw it in the forum on Internet Sales in the Art Business part of all the forums. You know how when you're reading the Wash if you look up you see a sort of "breadcrumb trail" (that's what Webmasters usually call it) back to Watercolor General Forum back to Watercolor back to WetCanvas? Well, if you click the first (WetCanvas) you will be at a list of ALL forums. Can't get there from the Home Page (or if you can, I can't figure out how!), but scroll down that list, and you'll see what I'm talking about. :)

I was curious, too. All right, I'll admit it -- a bit worried, actually. But it's okay, you have to opt in, apparently, and can "build collections" after you upload works. They're not really reorganizing the site to have all our work lying about in one place. :D

Hope everyone has a restful (or productively painterly) Holy Saturday (or just a good Saturday for those of other faiths). Having new paper delivered inspired me (or freed me from my hoarding, one or the other!), so I started a small painting this evening.

Tomorrow I'll probably be checking in late; I'm going to watch some little children finding eggs, and then eat them. The eggs, not the children.

:D:D:D Carol, too funny!

Cathie, my girls get out once in a long while and we can find them literally miles away. They start following a scent and, unless there open garbage cans to distract them, all you can see is dust...

Glad you found them both safe and sound.:)

Happy Saturday ! (well, not for me just yet, but close enough) :D

We're off to SD in the am after my Chinese Brush class, and back home again Sunday afternoon...we're going to a cousin's home who hosts the annual egg hunt...will be fun watching all the kiddies find the eggs we hide...

In my drawing class last Tuesday, we had to draw three different 'Renaissance style' angles of our hands (well, only one hand) and also turn in a mid-term drawing. I was all set to turn in the portrait of my son, but the prof suggested I turn in the one of my hand that I'd just done in class  It was pretty good if I must say so myself...

Did a little painting today, I'm working on another bench from Park Guell - full sheet this time...had problems with one part, so decided to let it sit and will fix it later...otherwise it's coming out pretty well..will post when complete... I want to enter it into the Artists at Work for this year... (hoping for another free trip back east :D ) Just to be safe tho, I have another one I need to finish to have a slide done too...

Other than that, not much newsy...probably won't be posting again until Monday, so hope everyone has a blessed Easter...

Sending white light and healing vibes to those in need, and 11 hugs to all...

ML

ps - OMG - I had this cute picture of a bunny with artists palette and brush painting what I *thought* were easter eggs in front of him, until I looked closer... it was a 'nasty' bunny, and those weren't eggs  So glad I preview my posts before submitting... I quickly deleted it - that would have been sooooo embarassing...

ok - found one that's cleaner: http://www.wetcanvas.com/Community/images/10-Apr-2004/3876-dyejjob.jpg

Mary Lou, just too too funny. Still nauseated, wish I would hurry up and get over this flu, ick, ick, ick but felt well enough to paint for a while tonight. Tomorrow is another day hopefully.
I had to uninvite my sis in law for Easter dinner, didn't want her to catch this awful bug, besides I don't think that I am up to fixing it anyway, still can't eat.n Blessings to all, Marymc

Hello all, I slept most of the afternoon.. :(

My brain is fragmented, and my vitality has gone on holiday for Easter.. :(

JOKE

A 5-year-old boy went to visit his grandmother one day.
While playing with his toys in her bedroom while grandma was dusting, he looked up and said, "Grandma, how come you don't have a boyfriend?"

Grandma replied, "Honey, my TV is my boyfriend. I can sit
in my bedroom and watch it all day long. The TV evangelists keep me company and make me feel so good. The comedies make me laugh. I'm so happy with my TV as my boyfriend."

Grandma turned on the TV, and the reception was terrible.
She started adjusting the knobs, trying to get the picture
in focus.

Frustrated, she started hitting the backside of the TV
hoping to fix the problem. The little boy heard the doorbell
ring, so he hurried to open the door, and there stood
Grandma's minister.

The minister said, "Hello, son, is your grandma home?"

The little boy replied, "Yeah, ! she's in the bedroom
bangin' her boyfriend."

The minister fainted.

Morning all! http://www.wetcanvas.com/Community/images/26-Feb-2004/23460-smileywave.gif

JJ - here's a good tutorial site: http://www.tips-tricks.com/f_column.asp
there's a specific page on fonts.

Happy Easter everyone, nothing much doing today. Bought some plug plants - petunias and impatiens so have to prick them out into trays for the windowsil. Still not safe to plant them out. I like them planted in tubbs around the house they seem to flower on and on and add a bit of colour to my largely conifer garden.

Still boning up on web page design - thanks Carol and Neeman for your help. I found some excellent tutorial sites including the one above and http://www.davesite.com/webstation/html/ and http://www.charhtml.com/lessonmenu.html#css so I think I'll cope with my loss of brainpower

No news yet - glad of a few jokes here and in the Café Guerbois.

Be back later,

Doug

Hi JJ, this is a link to a post in yesterday's wash in reply to Doug's HTML question. It has links to a fantastic interactive forum for learning all the HTML you would ever need to know. http://www.wetcanvas.com/forums/showpost.php?p=2208156&postcount=32

Here is link that will take you directly to the fonts lessons http://forums.delphiforums.com/charhtml/messages/?msg=2522.1

Good Morning all,

It is just going on 6:30 a.m. here in Dayton, Ohio. Little bit of lightening of the sky outside. No rain yet although forecast is for showers on and off today.

Just finished going through the Postcard Project Gallery to see the new cards that were posted this month. There are some really nice paintings in the project. I'm working on one now of a cabin in the woods with beautiful azalea bushes blooming in front of it. So far, so good, keep your fingers crossed.

Glad all the vagabond dogs were safely found and returned to their homes.

Lulu, Your Easter breads sound yummy. I didn't bake my family's traditional Creshia this year—it is an Italian cheesebread that my father always made at Easter time. Just got plain old lazy.

Doug, I've bought my seeds for the veggie garden, but it is too early to put anything in the ground yet. Last year I had wonderful luck with begonias planted in the bed that is beside the steps leading up the little hill to our house. That is what I'll put in again this year for sure, why monkey with success!

JJ, Hope you get your "oomph" back, being down in the dumps (and who wouldn't be in your case) really makes you feel lacksadaisical.

Weaving to Cathie, Egon, Mary, Christine, Gail, Sue, Carol, Christie, ML, Remy, and AWAYTC!

Hope all in the Waiting Room are feeling better, white light beaming your way.

See you all later.

JJ,..you need to upload your image to a server on the net somewhere and then write your code to reflect the location of your image.

For my ebay stuff I use Global Arrray $5 per month. I upload all my images and copy the code similar to how we do when we upload our images to show them in our posts.

A typical piece of code to display my image on my ebay page would be;
**img src="http://www.globalarray.net/user/remy_/85TurquoiseDreamsPendantMain.jpg" width="660" height="440"** (substituting ** for < & > of course)
Make sure your width and height measurements are correct or you will get the red cross.

Hit the F12 key to see how it will look when your page has been published on the web.

If you are doing this for ebay you can choose to upload your image using their uploader,.probably first image free still.

However, if you are writing a page to put on your website or free webspace with your ISP,..you can upload the images there.

Hope that helps

Oh *weaving* to Gail, Sue, Carol, Lulu, Christie, ML, Cathie, Egon, Mary, Christine, Doug, Sylvia and all to come. Sorry if I missed anyone.

Good day all, Jack surprised me by taking me out to breakfast for the 2nd day in a row to the Marigold. Most unusual for him to have a Full English more than once a week! I took my sketchbook and drew ducks, boats and willow trees. I had a bacon buttie :) I had already been cooking up an omlette, but told him I could put that on hold, cause he looked so disappointed. Besides, I do not say "no" to eating out, probably should though.
Got a message from my neice about my Mom. Seems as if Mom is worried about where her parents will stay when they visit. Keep in mind she is going to be 94 next week. I knew bodies wore out, but minds?
Going to work on the painting for the Charlotte branch of the family.
I am going to have to give up this computer to Jack, so will say TTFN

Good Morning Everyone!!!!

Beautiful morning and if I didn't see brown stick trees instead of green palms I might be tempted to think I am back in Arizona.

Putting the labour into scrubbing the grout in my kitchen and entrance floor was well worth it, looks like new again. Also wrapped present, made a nice card, shortened outfit I'll be wearing and am ready to go to my friend's (son's mother in law) wedding.

Her husband died 10 years ago and she and I used to travel together. Well last year She wanted to go to St. Lucia but I couldn't afford it. So off she went on her own, met a man from England, reaquainted by meeting him in Paris and after a million emails and phone calls they are getting married today.

Susan, wonderful that you are back home. Lots of support here for your coming trials and tribulations - this too will pass! Lots of good thoughts coming your way.

Same for JJ.

Mary Lou, Arizona is a beautiful place. Pam and I visited in Sedona and it is gorgeous. Here is a photo.

Good Morning all!!

Cathie - My wife loves to make bread too. Constantly smells like a bakery around here. Keep us up on your Sumi-E work. I am currently reading over a book on it and hope to start trying it soon. The techniques for it are very interesting.

Ottersong - Thanks for the info on Holbeins Opera paint. Now I wish I could find a good replacement for it with basically the same shading. Oh and I hope you get over the flu soon too.

Y'all have a good day.

Good Morning All: I have had my first cup of coffee and the sun is shining again this morning. We are having Easter dinner today here so this is just a quick drop in before I start preparing. MY BIL is cooking the turkey on his BBQ, I have the ham. Instead of going with a hot meal, we are celebrating Spring by having potatoe salad, ceasar salad, devilled eggs, regular tossed salad and I am not sure what else.

Cathie: I hate it when the gate is left open. Last Monday, I took Eve out for a quick pen visit before heading off to work. I DID NOT shut the gate to the deck as I thought I had shut the house door. Well Koty realized the gate was open and he managed to get the door open and he was gone in a flash. I didn't even bother calling him as that just makes him go further. I waited 15 mins. and then headed out with leash and a biscuit. Went to head down the street and there he was. He saw me and the biscuit and came right to me, so I only was an hour late for my first client. :)

Christie: Eve is my rabbit chaser but she comes right back once she has given it a bit of a chase. I wish she would catch the darn thing as most of my burning bush has been stripped of it's bark courtesy of the d****n rabbit.

Weaving to all and hope those feeling under the weather are feeling better soon.

Uschi, great pic, looks similar to the Robin Landscape.

Well I am off to start potatoe salad.

Weaving to all!!!

Cheers,

Gail

Few snow flakes in the air this morning! I want spring!
Glad dogs are safe and JJ got her problem solved.
Bread sounds wonderful Lulu.
JudyL that is not at all unusual for older people with dementia. Don't tell her they are dead. That will jus cause her to grieve again. Tell her you will find the room for them and she will probably forget it in a few minutes.

The 3 auctions I have going don't have this stuff I was working on.. I put them up this afternoon, 'cause I didn't think I would ever get the hang of it (html) :D

You can have a look at my auctions HERE (http://www.artbyus.com/auctions.php?a=2&b=465) HERE (http://www.artbyus.com/auctions.php?a=2&b=466) and HERE (http://www.artbyus.com/auctions.php?a=2&b=467) .

I have even finally got the text colour sorted out, and now I am off to bed as I am real tired..

I managed to have around 9 hours of something to do without dwelling on "stuff", so I feel I have been productive today after all.. :)

P.S. I don't like html. and I still don't know what I am doing .. :D

Mornin' all ! Thought I wouldn't have a chance to stop back, but here I am...:)

Cathie, glad Peaches is home safely...I know how frazzled it can make you. Our Zippy loved to escape the back yard and take herself for walks...got to be so the neighbors all knew her, and if we weren't home, they'd bring her back and close the gate... I have no idea how she got out sometimes...One guy would let her in their backyard to play with their dog, and come over when we got home so we could retrieve her...

Just reminded me of a story about her - every once in awhile, (like every 3-4 months) this little terrier would come to the front steps and bark for Zippy to come out and play (Zippy was a pretty large dog, about 70lbs). They'd romp in the yard for an hour or so, and then the terrier would sort of just disappear (I never found who owned him). We moved 25 miles away to our current home, and within the first month, this little dog showed up at our front door !! Only happened once, but was so bizarre !

Mary - I almost sent that 'easter bunny' in an email to all my friends/family - I would have been mortified ! Time to have my lenses checked !!

Uschi, that photo is gorgeous !! I've heard so much about Sedona, so I'm anxious to go there... DH has been hinting that at retirement time we probably won't stay in southern California (too expensive) and that Arizona is a possibility...

Carol - if you click on Content Areas (at the top of the page here), then Discussion Forums, is that the page you are looking for ???

JJ, hope you are feeling better....

Well it's finally starting to get light, and I need to pack, etc. so must run...

Weaving to all I missed and those to come, sending white light and healing vibes.... 11 hugs !!

Have a Happy Easter !

JJ, I checked out your auctions and they look great. Good luck with your sales.

Glad to hear you were able to keep yourself busy and your mind off things for a time. It is good for you to give your mind a rest if you can.

Well,..I'm about to put my ears and fluffy slippers on, slap a cotton ball on my butt and bounce around the house with a basket full of chocolate eggs.

Then off to bed for me where I expect to be woken too early with spine chilling squeals of excited children.

ML, if you’re heading my way give me a call; we have a Starbucks right here. Uschi loved Sedona.

Monday I spent $20 USD and 2 hours at the laundry washing and drying my cotton rugs for Shim’s playground; yesterday he puked. And, he had to leave a morsel on 3 of the 6 rugs! Then, a bad poo at the doggie park, where I had to turn the hose on his bottom. I suppose it’s resultant of the steak bone. So. He got rice for dinner.

From the courtyard, at certain times Uschi told me she smelled "mold"; finally, she tracked the smell to a natural fibre rug in front of the garage door. It smelled OK to me, but ever the accommodating hostess, [snort] I threw it out. Occasionally I would get a sniff, too, but since Uschi always had an ashtry going on the kitchen counter, I thought it was just Uschi’s butt stinking. Today I removed the plastic from the front of the NEW dishwasher, used just ONCE when installed in December. Opened the door and there’s MOLD…what used to be water sitting 2 inches deep. Oh, CHEESE! Why me, who just wants to have fun!

The cooks are showing up, and here’s the fat one—on a diet. Sigh.

{{Peaches}} Bad Don! I assume you have a Sumi-e book, Cathie. I found a fabulous one at the library and made a copy of the entire book. I incorporated some of the strokes into my acrylic mixed media, but it is such a lovely art form as itself; I just didn’t learn it well enough.

We had a lovely mid-afternoon summer shower [the sun shines while the rain falls] yesterday. This did not bode well for my smallest Calla lilly plant, who is already down to just 3 leaves/stems from the rain this year.

JJ, don’t be such a wimp; look at all the help you have gotten w/the HTML codes—soldier on, girl. One day you may be called upon to help me. LOL

That’s my bit of sunshine for the day. Almost time for doggie park, and then to bugger-up the painting I thought was going so well. I applied for a waitstaff job yesterday, but they’re not hiring yet—gotta bring in some funds as the house redos [musts] have broken my back.

Hey! to all, and a Happy Easter—may you have spring in your heart. I’m trying to fix-up Shim’s Harley hat as an Easter bonnet for him to wear to doggie park, but he’s not cooperating—snorts it off before my hat leaves his head. KIDS!!

Love, Fook.

Well I posted my auction with the html code and it didn't work..:(

Can't figure out why either, it worked o.k. when I previewed it on geocities html previewer..:(

You can have a look HERE (http://www.artbyus.com/auctions.php?a=2&b=480)

The banner pic wont show up, and the text is supposed to be deep purple..:(

I am fed up!!

HTML is NOT for me.. :crying: To think I spent hours and hours working it out, and I can't understand what is wrong???

Now I really am going to bed..:( ;)

.Well I just checked out your code and if you View Source on your page you will see the code is unbelievably cluttered with extra unecessary lines of code, however if you just insert <font color="#800080"> before the words Original Watercolours and then add the </font> after 'ommissions are welcome..</B>'. You will have purple text. Change the 800080 to whatever websafe purple you prefer.

Your banner shows up fine for me,..looks great!

IMO your text is screaming. Create a more peaceful view of your auction by bringing the text down in size. I personally found it hard to read being that large.

Overall,.. well done.

Ok, this morning there is as banner at the top of the pages to Art-Agent.com so I found it and found the information. It wasn't easy to find.

And when I got there, I couldn't log in. I had to reset my password. (on the button "artist's log-in"). When I finally got logged in, I was redirected to the Gallery Manager page and in that menu I opened "HELP" and found all the information. Here's a couple of excerpts in case anyone else has been as confused as me:

The Virtual Gallery Manager (VGM or GM, for short), allows our community members (artists) to catalog their works of art for sale on our sister site (art-agent.com), for sale on their own web site, for sale on external/third party sites (such as galleries) or just for showing to fellow artists here at WC!.

Ok, how does it work?

Simple. In short:

Go to the gallery manager page (click TOOLS at the top, then select the gallery manager option).
Edit your profile (important, as you won't show up in art agent until you have filled this out).
Upload your images
Create a collection
Click the "pieces" button next to your new collection to add your pieces (art) into your collection

I have more questions!

Please post in the Site Discussions forum. :)

Happy Day All,

Doug, sorry to hear about your friend.

Susan, hope you're finally home in FL & can get your brushes wet.

JJ I checked your auction, VERY NICE!! I'm sure they'll sell quickly.

Cathie, Our previous dog would escape by climbing our back fence. We couldn't figure out how he got out & had chicken wired the back cow fence since he could fit through it(He wasn't small either about 45lbs) & put the wire up to 6-7 ft around the rest of the yard. I watched him from our bedroom window climb the fence. Then he'd go through in a neighbor' s yard, walk to the front of our house & sit on the porch waiting to be let in. :) :) Gotta love 'em. Clover is a good girl & has only gotten out once when she found a whole in the chicken wire.

Have a Happpy Easter. Off to remake a skirt & do shopping.

Weavin' to all! Busy WASH today. :D

WHOOEE! I now have W&N water mixable oils, canvas, brushes! I'll be painting my first oil in 19 years this weekend!! Hope my technique comes back to me. I think I've learned a lot here on WC! that will help. :D

Ed and David are having a wonderful time at the Master's Tournament. They had great seats on the 15th green and got to see all the players, up close and personal.

The sun is shining right now, but we are supposed to get some rain here today. The neighbor's dogwoods, both pink and white, are blooming really well this year. It's a beautiful sight. :)

AWAYTC, may your today be much, much better than your yesterday.

Well, I'm off to face that most frightening of sights: a pure white canvas! LOL

Aunt Christine, have you had your ears checked for labryinthitus? It has sometning to do with the balace part in the ear, I had it one time and so did a friend of mine, it makes you really dizzy and takes a long time to go away, sometimes needs antibiotics.

Still nauseated, but some better, going to try and eat a piece of toast and go back to bed, maybe paint later this evening. NON- contageous hugs to all.

Thanks for that suggestion, Mary. They didn't really examine my ears, did blood tests etc.

I do think this is something that will take a little time to go away. It has happened to me before. Meanwhile, I feel constantly sea sick. :crying:

Silly dumb doctors, first place they should have looked is your ears. If you can take it, try dramamine, that is what I had to take. Yes you feel like a drunken sailor, lol, not funny though. I was so bad when I went to the doc I had to be assisted walking as I was walking into walls side to side and oh my soooo sea sick, the drramamine helped with that. I couldn't even lay down without barfing from the dizzies, had to crawl to the bathroom. It took a while to get bad but when it did, eekkkkk I can really relate to how you feel, I never want that again.

Yup. That's me. And since I live alone (can't count my four-pawed roommates) I'm afraid of falling in the tub so I've avoided the shower

I will definitely pick up some dramamine today. I have had a prescription in the past to Antivert; one more week to see if I can get beyond it before I return to doctors and insist on Antivert.

Urp.

I fell for those of you with the balance problems. I have mild brushes with this once in a while and it is certainly disconcerting.:( My mother has this problem and it makes it difficult for her to drive. It hit her very quickly though and she had thought that it was a stroke.

Pam, sorry about the headache coming back. Could it be due to dehydration? With all this wonderful weather we have been having, I find I forget to drink enough water.:( THEN I get migraines that last for days.

Lyn, enjoy those paints.:)

We are back from ballet lessons and I actually managed to get a few more minis sketched out while Katie danced. Now I am going to feed to zoo lunch and then sit down and do some more painting.:)

Take care.

Whoooosh . . . working on the paper today, so not much time . . .

Thanks for all the cyber-support for Peaches' adventure . . . I don't know that I'd have been so worried if she wasn't such a tiny dog . . . we have ravens here that carry away rabbits bigger than she is!!! Anyway, she's safe and I'm pretty sure Don will double-check that gate next time.

Pam is that building one that used to be the Kalispell library but is now an art gallery?? I'm not even sure I have the town right, but it sure does look familiar!

Entered two paintings in the county fair this morning . . . Em's Grapes and California Poppy. Not expecting any prizes, but it's a good way to get over fear of showing!!

Fooks, yes I have a book. It's by a Japanese woman who has been studying the art for a while. Bet it's not as easy as it looks, huh???

Whoa! Did you hear that whip snapping thru the air?? Guess I'd better get back to work . . .

XOXOXO

Hi gang, I can't believe it's almost bedtime for me, and this is my first visit to the wash!

I'm tired now, and suffering major CRS, but I promise I have read the whole wash and send hugs and white light to all with dizziness, nausea and headaches, have sympathy for those with houdini dogs, and general hugs for everyone else.

Most of my day was eaten up by a very nice eBay customer, can't complain since he bought my 3 Hereford minis, plus one from my store and another from my website, then commissioned 3 more! :D Have to request a kick up the butt to get me moving on the dreaded roses, then I can take advantage of all this work!

Pam, I like your drawing, very impressive building!

Time for bed, don't eat much chocolate tomorrow (our traditional day for cracking open the Easter eggs).

Hi again, I had that dizziness once, I was told it was an allergic reaction to some medication I had been taking. I had to take benadryl for a week. I asked another doc about what would cause the vertigo thing, and she said it could have been calcium deposits floating around the inner ear.
JoAnn, thanks for the word about my Mom. I have realized this, I emailed my niece, told her to tell Mom that my Grandparents would be welcome at either her house or her Moms. It has been a lot less stressful since I figured out I could not use logic on her. A lot more fun, when she got worried about were my Dad was, we decided he was watching Stanford play basketball. I guess it's a case of if you can't beat em, join em.
Take care those of you with bad heads, I've been there too. Ususally take something with PM at the end.

Hope all the dizzy and nauseous people feel better soon!

I'm waiting on my underpainting to dry on my 8 x 10 gallery canvas done with my new W&N water mixable oils! I'm working from a reference by Ivyleaf of three cherries. I figured I needed to start with fairly basic shapes and colors! LOL (I think Pam did these in watercolor a while ago.) :D

Watching golf at Augusta - unfortunately young Justin Rose has had a bad day, but Paul Casey is doing well - only 2 behind the leaders.

Having discovered the Virtual Gallery (see the Tools menu at top) and created a gallery, I am now getting "database errors" trying to add my fourth painting :(

Guess I'll have to wait until tomorrow and try again.

Poor Scott, he has a mammoth task keeping everything together.

EDIT: Just had a message from Scott saying the system won't cope with the ˝ character used in the painting size fields. It works fine now.

Bye for now,

Madmum, no! You went to bed before we could throw you a party for such a successful day. Ok, I'll save you some Chocolate Brooklyn Blackout Cake and a nice tall glass of, hmmmm, milk goes best with that much chocolate. Congratulations.

JudyL, thanks for that information. You reminded me that I forgot to buy my dramamine and now I have to go back out to the pharmacy. Good think I'm reading this!

JJ--headache all gone yet? Try our old Italian soother: slice a cold raw potato and put the slices in a flat line inside a lightweight cloth that you can wrap around your forehead--all the way around and tie in the back. Pull it down over your eyes slightly and rest for a good half hour. Replace the potatos if they get too warm. Better than ice.

Off to hug my doggies (that's not code for anything).
