View Full Version : My First Post! "The Day Dreamer"

Hi! This is my first post on WC, so I want to know what you think. I did these prints awhile back. I first drew the picture, then traced it onto foam cord making deep lines and indentions. I added one color to a section, then printed on black paper. I repeated this several times until I had all of the colors I wanted. I used the same print to make different pictures.

Its on a 18x24 sheet of black paper, but the actual picture is about 12x12. I used acrylic block printing paint.

The orginal drawing was inspired by my habit of daydreaming...not a bad one I dont think....

Tell me what you think! I look forward to a wonderful experience on WetCanvas!

Sorry this ones a little crooked.

This is wonderful. Beautiful lines, are you sure you used foam core? Wasn't it that blue stuff?

Hi hannaHLitz,

The black (!!) background works beautifully for this!

re: >> acrylic block printing paint. <<<
This almost has an interesting batik effect, reminds me a bit of it.
