I haven 't posted to the S&T in a long time.
I tried to play around with the implosion technique that was posted recently I've posted the best one (out of about 10!) that I made. It's a pretty addicting technique!! I bet it's even more fun on a "hot" torch.
The second pic is a "set" or at least as close to a set as I can manage. Someday I will get some disipline and learn to make real sets. There's nothing like a good closeup to show off what a wonky bead maker I am. I really need to find a good class!

Hey! I didn't see any wonkies in there! I love the implosion technique, too. Love what you did with it!

A few from me, then time for a nap:

I second Tink! Nice Beads.
Tink I love that white with Black and Red. They're all great but that one jumped out at me.

Here's my set that just went on Ebay. I used Val's frit in Lime Green and Mint Julep on the Opal Oddlot White from Vetrofond. I'm ordering a bunch more of that!

Linda - Great pendant. I would like to hear more about the implosion technique.

Tink - Great beads one and all. Your pictures are so good too. Which purple is that 2nd set. WOW.

Amy - Great set. It looks like ferns. I'm loving your new tool shape. It looks great with lentils.

Here is another organic from me.

It's Bullseye. I'm not as familiar with the Bullseye colors as I am Effetre, so maybe someone can help me out. It's the only purple I have in Bullseye. A little streaky for my taste, but holey moley what a nice color!

The recent thread talking about implosion pendants is here:http://www.wetcanvas.com/forums/showthread.php?t=178783

That thread had the link to this great tutorial:http://www.wetcanvas.com/forums/showthread.php?t=170943

Here is a closeup of the wonkieness that plagues me...
one side of the bead is narrower than other.... I really want them to be more balanced. I was planning to give this set away.... do you think that would be OK even if some are slightly wonky?

O.K. Slightly wonky, but damn they are beautiful!

Linda, a little tip that I have discovered, is to get your bead hot enough to marver a little and then press down on the narrow side till it looks as wide as the bigger side. It seems to correct the foot print and then you can go ahead and melt it round again. Hope it works for you. I still have a wonky bead once in a while but not nearly as many as I had before I tried this technique. Onalee

Pretty minor wonkiness, if you ask me Linda (I just wanted to type "wonkiness" LOL!).
That black and red on white is very stylish, Tink.
Amy, I must have missed that Opal White when I ordered last - gotta get some!!
Lara, is that silvered ivory or just intense black webbing? It's cool, whatever it is!

Here is my latest and "greatest". I posted this on my "Fugly or FAG" thread, and since the response was good I'm including it here:

And some silver-foil-on-opal-yellow beads:

Aimee: I saw your FAG/FUGLY bead - NOT - in the other thread, it is very unique and I like the colors a lot. The foil/opal yellow beads are very warm, great carmel color.

Thanks for the compliment on my bead, no intense black, just ivory and silver.

Thanks

Lara

I finally made a really cool bead last night.. So, I have to show ya'll.. :)

I broke out the Thompson's enamels and a white stringer. I really like the graphic nature of the enamels mixed like this.. Now I have to try more colors..
