Hi,

After viewing some of the amazing paintings here...I went and checked out
my ole art closet and lo and behold I found a set of Berol Prismacolor colored pencils...I would love to try this medium...but am having an extremely difficult time finding courses or better yet..books to show me the steps

Can anyone recommend a good step by step for beginners..absolute beginners guide to the methods involved in using this medium..I"m looking
for something that assumes I know nothing about it..which I don't...except
when I used them to color with my little nephew...

thanks

Heres three I think should get up and running.

"the Complete COLORED PENCIL Book" By Bernard Poulin

"The Colored Pencil key concepts fro handling the medium" By Bet Borgeson

" COLORED PENCIL SOLUTION BOOK tips and techniques for winning results By Jaine Gildow & Barbara Benedetti Newton

I could add a few more to the list, but these where the first three off the shelf and the ones I've used the most. Hopw it is of some help

Without sounding flip...just do it!! Get some paper and just play with it. I have yet to buy a book on CP's There is no right or wrong way to do them. This is how I started and I love them!
One book I'd like to buy is the encyclopedia of coloured pencil techniques. I have the one for Oils and love it.
