playing with prismacolors

A friend gave me a set of Berol Prismacolor pencils and I was playing around with them today. What a difference it makes to use quality materials! I'd been using Crayola and Prang colored pencils and was not impressed. Prismas are nice :D

Here's what I did just playing around - Canson dark brown paper, about 4" x 6"

You really have to put in your highlights and light colors first, don't you? I'm used to saving them for last. :o

Ruth, this is great! I like the grapes too. Of course I like it all too! :D
It has a pastel look to it, which I like.

I think at least you have to have a very good idea of where the highlights go before you start ;) . This is a lovely still life and yes, prismas are sooooooo much better than Crayolas!
