What a wonderful piece! God is in everything and everyone. That should make all of us feel secure:) I love the cracked look, as if veins tie everything together in life. What medium did you do this in?

I love the colours, very ethereal. The planets look also like body cells.
Tying together outer and inner space.

Charissa.....this is watercolor starting with wet on wet and salt....then drawing in the composition. using Liquitex Pearlescent Irridescent glazing...on the planets. The deep indigo coloring is glaze after glaze of Indigo, burnt umber, alizaron crimson and pthalo blue, Paynes' grey mixed together. The connecting threads are silver pen. I'll be doing a WIP on Watercolor Gallery in about 10 days. Join me? I have a series of these ODF (Out Der; Flappin') as my kids say. This one is full sheet on 300 lb. paper. Joyefull

I sense something very metaphorical about the accidental happenings of applying salt and water....at one point the artist in charge, at another at the mercy of whatever comes about, and yet trusting for the good.

Nicely done...very attractive...nicely aesthetic.

Joye ~ as I mentioned to you the other day when I made you a smaller version of this image for our Oprah O Group AND MSN Instant Messenger, I think this is way up there among my favorites in your whole series that you shared with us on AA [an MSN website a group of us from the Oprah boards made for sharing with each other what we do.. artwork, writing, etc.].. Joye and I have been online friends for a number of years now! So glad I told her about WetCanvas.. she's a perfect candidate for this place, wouldn't you agree? :D
