hi everyone,

this is my first post here, and of course it makes me nervous! i am only an amateur painter, and only recently started trying to learn. but anyway, here it is- a view of my back porch. thanks to everyone for all the advice and inspiration you have unknowingly given me so far, and please give me your honest opinions on this, my first presentable piece! :D

this is acrylic on canvas paper.. approx. 18 x 24

p.s. thanks to jeanette for getting me addicted to this site and for everything else

thanks! erin

very impressive. I find the negative space, the blue, to be soooooooo intriguing. So glad you didn't paint it as a flat plain of color. The undulations in the field really highten the quality of this piece. good job.

Hello, muse of J'nice. Is your inspiration as electric as the blue you paint? Your friendship as strong as the trunks of those trees? Your arms and shoulders as limber the limbs? Your loyalty as heavy as the boulders along that pavement path J'nice must've played hopscotch on? ( I really have no idea what I'm talking about...it just sounds good and dramatic doesn't it? Not counting a bit weird...). But back to your painting (tee hee), welcome to the basement. Oh yeah, your painting (doh), o4 already said it so there's nothing left for me to say. ;)
