This will be my first time submitting photography to a gallery's juried show, and I'm trying to fill out the entry form. I've come across the section where they ask you what you wish to list the sale price as, then next to that they ask you what the "NFS Insurance Value" is. Does this mean "Not For Sale Insurance Value"? And how am I supposed to tally that????

Until now, I've only submitted work to local galleries and have not had to include "NFS Insurance Value". So, I'm stumped. And I feel foolish for asking, but if I don't ask, I won't be able to submit my slides.

Much thanks to anyone who can answer my question.

Just a guess but I took it that it may mean 'none sufficient funds' ... in case someone pays with a cheque and the cheque bounces. Just a thought. :)

Actually, I was able to reach the gallery and it does stand for "Not For Sale". Apparently, it is a common question that many first-time submitters ask when they have to fill out the entry form.

Thanks for trying, though. Appreciated.:)
