My version is Watercolour/Ink on Bockingford, 15x11 inches

Painted as a practice piece

If this is just practicing.....I can't wait to see a real painting. This is lovely and I like the watercolour/ink combination. A lovely loose picture yet no loss of detail. Superb.

I'm not familiar with Bolton......... but I certainly think this is a finished piece, worthy of a frame.

Hi Flattwo,
Nice combination of mediums, the washes of watercolour with the detail and crispness of ink. Very nice use of colour in this, bold foreground with complementary hull colours make for a really striking piece.

I'm a fan of Richard Bolton, and I think you have done an excellent job of this.
Your colours are very rich and vibrant.
Plus a beautiful sky!
