I like the way you have a definite light direction in this work with all the appropriate (and well done ) shadows. This I find is an often overlooked aspect of seascapes, light and shadows. In a static landscape shadows are a given but in a mobile, changing seascape shadows can escape attention as they are usually so fleeting. Good work.

That is a BIG wave! What is the building in the background? A lighthouse perhaps? Thanks for showing your work, Howard. Nice web site too!

Nice one Howard. I like the way you've achieved a feeling of the water retreating from the rocks even as the next wave is building.

Thankyou mairrca, Alan and Marty for taking a look an d your comments.
Jamie that is a big wave, I figure my job is to exagerate something in a painting. He He. The building is a local landmark, a power plant that says "Carlsbad" to both young and old, locals and visitors. Thanks again for your help.
Thankyou Velda and meowmeow for noticing that movement.
