Here's the latest helmet....kind of a quicky...I used the lectra finish to get the design in the back ground of the yellow, orange, red panel then the color for the same came from H.O.K. candies..the blue is H.O.K. blue pearl with blue metalflake over that...striping was done with H.O.K. striping paints and then the whole thing is cleared...sanded and re-cleared...thanks for looking. Hey Rod,
Looks like you are having fun with the lectra-finish. Are HOK striping paints the same composite as One-Shot?

Thanks everyone....
Catterwalln...I guess there is a learning curve on this stuff..You have to use this stuff over a clear...which a little pain but....anyway....then you have to be sure to get ALL the oils off the project...i washed everything in dawn dish soap..that seemed to work the best
I tried to mask off a design and just do the lectra finish inside the design...but i found the washing plays heck on the tape and it didn't work out.....i ended up doingt he lectra finish over the whole helmet and going back and adding the blue over the top of the lectrafinsh...It isn't the way i'd like to use the stuff...but, i'm sure i'll figure out some other way of getting what i want..i'll keep you posted...
penny220...I don't think they are....the H.O.K. seem to almost never really dry ...i just clear over it when i'm done...i have not had any problems with the clear freaking them out but...i do put a couple drops of the clear hardener in when i'm striping...i hope this help...Rod-Man
