Original and fake - find the 10 mistakes in less than 5 minutes and you're good. :-)

Just kidding, the color version is a redo of the other. I am wondering if the paint-over-decision was right, but I didn't like the previous one and now I am at least unsure what to think. Sounds like an improvement *grin*

May the force be with you

And now for something completely different... :-)

what a tough call

do we have to decide?

I wish none were painted over, and all existed.

the falling books has always been a fave of mine

In the first I like the second better; however, in the second I like the first! tee hee. Yeah, I like the falling book too. Good to see you back around, Daniel.

Great going, here.
You've captured the feelings of aloneness, sadness and depersonalization, extremely well.

Very poignant work!

I remember these! So you're painting over stuff too, eh? Gosh, I liked the old ones, but I like where you've taken them too. I always loved those falling books.

I remember these
I like the refreshing of the palette
the refining I like for the most part
except (you knew this was coming)
the lower guy in the first painting, I liked the ruggedness of him before
(small thing)
and the hand of the figure in the second painting
(another small thing)
I like the chair in that one very much
and I like how the books turned out in the first
they're not as drab moody as before
though I think the new ones invite more interpretation options
I like
I especially like that you're painting (woohooo exhibition!)
