I noticed that the finished Jewelry thread had moved off page one so I am starting a second thread. Boy WCers have been busy finishing jewelery this month some of my latest, truely awful pics though.
So lets see some more of that wonderful finsihed WC work. :D

Still no stones/glass for me but I will make a special one with stones for this design.. For the moment, it's still a prototype. Keep the beads coming ! I'm a bead hog :p

Hello,
I recently finished a piece for an art auction. I was excited that it sold for $225.00. It was worth $250.00 but jewelry rarely gets it's worth in a charity auction. Kind of defeats the purpose, I think! Oh well here I am before the auction, the bellydancer and the necklace. Enjoy! I sure did. All the free expensive wine you can handle. For me that isn't very much :p Rita

Great pieces everyone! Rita, awesome outfit! Do you do the grocery shopping in that? :D :D

Hre's a bracelet I made myself the other day. I'm trying very hard to "get over" my anxiety at making jewelry.

Blessings,

Leslie, you are doing just fine!! Don't stress over it. It's supposed to be relaxing remember?

Girlie, nice flowers. I like those very much.

And just so you know. As much as I wish I had a nice set of candelabras to light the way. That was not me. But a dancer from the bellydancing tribe at the auction. :p

This was me!

Great jewelry btw, everyone :) That is so funny Rita - I went back and forth from the belly dancer to your tiny head and finally decided it couldn't be you... but I wondered!

Here is a necklace I made for my stepmother. I really love how it came out. It's only my 4th finished piece. I think I'm hooked! Soon enough (hopefully), I'll be able to produce finished work like the rest of you! Gorgeous everyone, just gorgeous!

Well you can post it either place, really, though I do encourage jewelry artists to contribute and join in the activity in the jewelry forum (within mixed media) to show support and genuine interest for this artform, so it might become an stand alone forum within WC. :)

Roseanne, I love that last floral bracelet, so sweet!

Donna, those are beautiful! You are one of my favorite bead artists! This is a necklace I made recently, it was a pattern in the last B & B. ( the pattern, not my necklace). I fell in love with it. I made the focal and the small flower and leaf beads. I was thinking I needed something cool to wear when I do my first bead show, then realized the show is in October, so I'm not sure this is the right necklace. LOL!

Here's a black and white bracelet...just for me. Not my best beads, really kinda older ones plus purchased ones, but you can't go wrong with black and white! Very bold and noisy!! BTW, the large hole bead being used as a toggle was fun to make....I have seen them used this way, but it was a first for me.

Also included a wild eclectic colored set I made my SIL....it has a couple of slider beads in it.

THANKS for letting me contribute..usually I just drool over everyone else's!!

I did it! I made a set especially for me. No guessing what would sell, no checking out fashion magazines for popular colors, just picked my favorites and went to town. Did the whole set in 2 hours. A record for me. Of course it took another hour to put the jewelry together.

Jean, I know! I recently got some waxed linen to try, and I just really like it! I am going to try and do more with it.

Nice knotted cord and glass piece Jean!

Everyone: great, great, great, as usual!

I love the waxed lined necklace! I'm gonna have to try that soon! Here's a pretty poor shot of a necklace my friend and I made last night. She had to go home so I didn't have time to take a good picture just a quick snap! But I love how it turned out.....

Keep those gorgeous pieces coming! I love looking at them :) Here's a bracelet I did for my Gram. She wanted colorful, so I went with jewel toned with reduction frit design.
Have a great day :)

Ohmygod, what a bunch of cool, COOL stuff!!! Love those silver rings, you need a link to auctions or store!

I didn't know there was a wearable art forum, have to go check that out. In the meantime, here's my latest necklace, though there's no lampwork in it, it is just in time for Easter....

Hi Lisa - your necklace is great - nice and simple with lots of color... just my thing :) But I'm writing to ask you about your neck form -what is it??? Did you make it? It looks sooooo cool! And yeah, check out the wearable art forum - it's turning out to be a really nice place to hang out.

Everyone's things are lovely!
I have a hard time just selling the bead. Beads are very bossy to me and tell me how they want to look- what other beads they want to be with, etc. I hear and must obey. I mostly do finished pieces with my beads.

Here's a piece I call the Red Queen:

Some really great finished pieces!

Nancy, your necklaces are really beautiful. I like big bold designs. Speaking of big and bold, here is the largest lentil I have ever worked with. I made a necklace with it, but I might change it into a pendant and wear with leather... Mary Lou made the lentil bead. (I hope the photos are not too big)

And here is a necklace I made with Darla's beautiful lentils - these are the most perfectly shaped lentils I've ever had in my hands I love how they don't have that little divit near the mandrel hole. (And the colors!)

Also I'll post one of my chunky monky necklaces - I made these beads (I don't show off my beads very often here because I haven't been at it long... but I really like these)

Rita, those are absolutely BEAUTIFUL!!!!

Here's the latest bracelet I made. I had it up on ebay, but it didn't sell, and I just didn't really have the heart to part with it after that.
Besides, while it was listed, I had been "trying it on" so much, that I would have had to fess up and sell it as "gently used" anyways! ;)

OMG I have died and gone to jewelry heaven.

Everyone has stunning beads and I am loving all the braclet/necklace porn. BUT your casting has me totally gobsmacked! Like you've been in my head peeking at my fantasy jewelry. Perused your sites and am thoroughly enchanted. I'll shut up before I make a *total* ass of myself.

Last year I made this cuff with my own lampwork. I have been enjoying wearing it, but it wasn't absolutely perfect to me, and something about it just bugged me. So, today I replaced the touches of copper wire with yellow-goldfill wire, and now it feels right to me. The copper is before and the gold wire is after. The goldfill wire is showing up closer to silver in appearance in this photo - it's more yellow IRL.)

Also I have been wearing it a lot to see how 24K gold fuming holds up with wear, and it's looking pretty good! :)

The gold is definitely IT! Love it! Love it!

Oh, and thanks for the tips on the bangles! I'm gonna work on those this week!

Thank you Leslie! :)

And to give you an idea, this bangle fits my med/large wrist perfectly. (Leslie had asked me about how the fit is with these screwball bangles when you add beads and wire to them. I told her basically that I tend to leave the sides of the piece free of larger beads, and that seems to make a nice fit for women who do not have small wrists.)

These are all beautiful. I can see that my wire-working and wire-sculpting skill will still come in handy when I start making my beads. I got to thinking that my sculpted pendants might be great with lampwork up the rest of the necklace. I have had a time selling my pendants, I don't know if it is the work or so many people out there selling on the bay.

Here's an example:

here's mine:
a bunch of stuff:
First, a funky primary colored bracelet.

"Vine Garland" (seed beads and fimo)

"My grandfather's old watch redesigned, of course.

Basic lampworked bracelet that is right now being displayed in a local amateur art show (lots of questions....ie. "How DID you do that?")

And a simple loop lariat... the pendant is just a teardrop shaped bead with a picture glued on it....but it looks cool.
