Good evening,
Fay, beautiful detail
Jiley, love those colors. Is that the old original coral?
Here's detail of a couple of sets I just finished. The blue bead is an encased baking soad bead with silver. Have a good day everyone. Sheila

It has been ages since posting any beads. I need more challenges to get me going.

Fay, very nice.
Jiley, it is obvious that you can manage color! Beauties!
Sheila, gorgeous.
Shirley, I have to edit this one more time to tell you how beautiful that is. The flowers just give depth to your composition.

How many are crazy enough to be up at 2 am? I have to stop this...I've been staying up until 3:30 & 4 am lately.

Mine? March frit challenge for ISLAGA...www.islaga.org

oooh, fay, i really like that bead!
jiley, my favorite color combo! at least half of my wardrobe matches those beads.
sheila, those sets look great!
babs, i was at a quilt show today and i saw some batik fabric that looked a lot like your fish - beautimous!

this bead was made on 2 separate days. i ran out of propane right in the middle of this bead - i had encased it and placed the butterfly when the flame died. got my propane the next day and finished decorating it, but it was touch and go all the way. the flowers turned out lousy and are way out of proportion with the tree. the bead kept wanting to crack, and it finally did. i thought i had saved it, but you can see a hairline on the back of it under the casing. so it'll be mine rather than my submission to the all-member show at the gathering. dang! this honker is about 2 1/2 inches long.

ok, i'm off to bed. zzzzz....

Wow Great Monday morning Show and Tell!

Aaron - love that moonglow bead!
Jiley - I'm glad you're addicted to coral! Very Pretty!
Doug - Love those St. Patty's beads! I love green! Nice color!
Fay - I agree, the colors pop!
Jacinthe - lovely goddesses as always and great stringer control!
Sheila - Lovely!
Barbara - nice work on the fish!
Rita - I love that floral! The color is gorgeous!

I haven't contributed in a while - I couldn't work in my unheated studio during January and February - thanks goodness it's "warmed" up - above 30 degrees and I can heat my studio - below - forget it!

Well, I have been watching all the lentils on show and tell and I just had to try some - I used my Mags Mashers and Smirich's directions for the webbing. Next, I made the faux Asian Porcelain using layered dots.

Have a good day all!

Rita, that is GORGEOUS! I love the transparent flowers.

I finally got some torch time in, and worked in blues. I'm stuck on blues, that's all that's coming out of the kiln this morning too!

I saw some Apatite beads that matched while I was stringing these up and had to make earrings to go with them. The toggle is loosely tied so the cord can be cut to any length befor tying on the toggle.

I didn't get to torch yesterday at all! I had all 4 of my kids and my DH is at his grandmother's 90 birthday! We should have all gone but the kids are in school and I can't see spending $3000 for all 6 of us(tickets were outrageous) to fly for a weekend. My kids have not met her yet but thats another story! We stayed home and cleaned toys up all day! :) Oh they would have been happy to mess up the house while I torched but NO WAY!!

Here is one little focal from Saturday!! Its my St Patties day that I am going to wear!! :) 24k fumed green (one of the emeralds)

I am sorry about the crack but at tleast you get to keep it. I love it! It looks like the flowers are closer and the tree is farther away. It adds the appearance of distance. It's great.

Well, I'm almost there! I have been making beads for about a year, part-time. You all have given me inspiration, help, encouragement and a lot of ideas. Thank you all. I hope to retire in a few years, and that this will be a good way for me to keep young. I am really enjoying the whole experience.
