I just wanted to take a moment to give everyone an update on some really neat new tools we're planning on rolling out soon.
1) First and foremost, we will be rolling out the first iteration of our Industry Partner directory. This directory is far more than a simple series of listings, however. It is a true portal designed to be able to put our members in close contact with our industry partners. Among the many features of this searchable portal will be a series of partner-specific forums, integrated contests and surveys, press release archives, and much more. You'll also be able to quickly see, and take advantage of, any incentives that our partners offer WC! members. It is hard to describe, you'll just have to wait and see it for yourself. :)
2) As many of you know, our Swap Shop and Bargain Basement forums are in need of a revamp. Quite simply, we've outgrown them. So, we'll be announcing a tightly integrated series of auction and classified ad tools. You will be able to post listings, search items across multiple categories, and even rate sellers. :) You'll also be able to do some cool things, like "put an item on hold", which sort of reserves it, pending you asking some questions of the seller, etc. And yes, a "buy now" feature will be in there as well. So, the end result will be a better place to offload those unsold paintings, extra inventory, and used art supplies. And yes, there will be several bead categories for you bead-a-holics. :D Stay tuned ...
3) Finally, we'll be adding some new forums to the main boards (Spiritual Art, Marine/Seascape Art, and some others - I have the list around here somewhere, those are off the top of my head - there are probably others).
