I dont' know if many of you even noticed, but I've been rather obscure lately. However, I guess I should come out, since many of you have been sending out prayers and white light and such.
I wrote this out, and then went back and read it and it really sounds pretty pompous and braggy, but please, I really do just want to share with all my buds out here in WC land how well things are going right now, instead of doing my usual whining.

DH finally got a job! After 18months of unemployment, he's got a 6 month full time position. It's better than what we've had, and hopefully other opportunities will arise from it.

My students at school have been doing super! Two received honkin' scholarships to Kendall (one full ride and the other a fat sum). Another received 3rd place in 3-D in a juried High School Show, another received honorable mention and several others had their work juried into the show. The paper also came and did an interview with them today, so they will receive their 15 minutes of fame! I'm so proud of them. He said he'd like to do a feature on me with my lampworking sometime soon too.

The local TV station came and did a piece on the lampworking class I'm teaching for the YMCA and it will be aired tonight on the evening news.

I was accepted into Who's Who of American Women, 24th edition, 2004. (Who the heck nominated me anyway?) Not sure I deserve that one, but it's a done deal nonetheless.

Also accepted into 3 shows so far for this summer, and waiting on two more.

And, even though it's Robin, I've got a bid on one of my e-bay auctions.

As the saying goes, when it rains it pours! Now I just wonder, what's going to happen next? Those are the things, and feelings that keep me in hiding.

Thanks for letting me boast a little. (It won't happen often........just because my life doesn't go this well all the time)

Hugs,
Chris

YOU GO GIRLFRIEND!!

I'm so glad things are looking up for you and your family! I know the hubby finding a job is going to ease some of the pressure you've been under. Also congratulations on all the publicity and the students with Kendall scholarships! How do I get one of those for Luke? ;) You've had some real challenges thrown your way, and you deserve to see the sunshine now (figuratively speaking, since it snowed again today! LOL)! And don't underestimate your auctions. I'm competing against another bidder for those lovelies. I'm thinking about letter him/her win, and getting a "custom set"! ;) That way, the other person can enjoy your beads too!

Aaron and I are both smiling for you!

YAHOOOOOOO!!!!!! Chris has come out to play

Wow, Chris the news you are sharing is great..

Congratualtions on your DH new job, we have been there and done that.

Congrats on the students, that is wonderful and I know a teacher is a real motivation to an art student, it speaks highly of you and your profession.

Congrats on the write ups, and the Tv, and the Who's Who. Lady you are on a roll. I hope it continues to roll for a long time on it's merry way, because we have missed you!!!!!! I really enjoyed meeting your daughter, is she the one who will be going to the cabin with you?

Take care and I hope to see you out here, giving us a rough time a little more regularly in the future.

Love Ya,
Dilly

Oh Chris! I am so happy for you! I know you've been struggling along. You deserve good things happening for you! And you must feel like a proud mother hen when your students are rewarded in such a way. I can't wait to see you again at the cabin! And is it your daughter who will be there too like Dilly mentioned? Can't wait to meet her too! She has one heck of a wonderful mom!

Hey buddy, I'm doin' the happy dance for you right now; (I'm still in my nightie and big fat slippers so it's hard to appreciate the movement but you get the idea) our paths didn't cross long enough at Robin's or I would have given you a big gushy hug. Can't wait to see you in May. :D
