For those starting out in this area there are books that give information on all aspects of the technique, and you can buy cleaner that has a shallow basket that you put your nibs in and then let float down to the bottom. You can also make your own cleaner, and that reciepe is in the book. Buying the first cleaner just gives you the tools to make life a bit easier in the cleaning process.

Pointillism is a technique that takes patiences, but is also very relaxing once you get into it. I do large pieces from time to time, 20x24" You have seen one of those, Peacock. So, pick up those pens and have fun. It is very rewarding in the end.

You know, I think that it appeals to the control freak in me. :p I do find it very relaxing and now that I have proper pens, I can actually do some half decent work. It might even scan better than what I have done so far.

I will look for cleaner recipes, mostly because I want to know what is in it. I used to work in a lab, so call it a morbid interest.:p
