While browsing in the library today, I came across a beginning pastels book. It looked interesting, so I checked it out. I had bought a couple of sets of pastels months ago, but was never really sure to use them.

Anyway, I read the chapter on portraits, found an interesting face in a magazine, set up the easel and went at it. I was surprised at how easy they were to work with (Though I have to admit, having been used to working primarily with digital art, I would really have liked the pastels to come with an "undo" function!!;)).

Well, here's the image. Sorry, not the best scan job. Comments and crits welcomed.

digistyle,
This is wonderful. Love her hair. Btw, there is an undo button in pastel, it's called a kneaded eraser. I know, I use it all the time!!!!! geri
