I had to do it. LOLOL I used the Derwent Portrait pencils. For some reason, I was blocked. I was grabbing colours I normally use then putting them back. :( Heather was too young and soft for my 'normal' approach. So I really think this one is lacking. :( I will leave to you all to tell me what you think. :evil:http://www.wetcanvas.com/Community/images/27-Aug-2001/heather2.jpg The new reworked one is here at the top. The attatched old one below. :D

Lovely soft hair...sigh...I think it's the eyes that distract though...

Yes, I think Ivy may be right. The eyes are possibly too white and bright.
Wish I could see it while I'm replying here:( have to keep going backwards again.

Any way you look at her she looks like Heather to me.
Hard to believe she will be 19 next January!!
I am amazed how everyone has been able to capture that look of contemplation!
Thanks TeAnne.
Good job:)

Thank you everyone. :D The eyes I did in a grey colour and when I enhanced the scan, they poped up white. lolol
I couldn't get into WC yesterday. I hate my isp.

I love her hair, but you said it yourself too hard. I think the colors on her face should be softer not so dramatic. Rats I can't explain myself hold on BRT...
I was bad I stole your picture from the computer. Took a digi pic of it from the screen. Than did some tweaking in photo shop quick to show you what I think. I do hope you don't mind.

no, please no have mercy the little mouse with the digi camera squeals, as she runs as fast as her little legs can carry her!!!!!!!!!! What's this - out of her large satchel falls a tinny sheet of black paper. Under closer inspection - Another Heather. That mouse has been busy!

I can't get over that hair, TeAnne, it must have taken you hours! Have you decided to abandon this picture? Maybe you should do it again with your Prismacolours to test them out ;)

Thanks for looking Sherville, you have a good idea there but yes I have abandoned this one. I loose interest quick. :(

An artist losing interest in a piece is a "no-no." At least that's what I've heard. I have that problem too, but am trying desperately to overcome LOL!

Nice painting! I think you've captured her very nicely. Wasn't the dress fun :D.
