I've got to get some feedback on this from all of you. It's for a show entry and what you provide for c&c would be most appreciated.

lol, I was expecting to see animals :D
... Barb, the colours make it lovely and vibrant.....the red really makes it pop and especially like the composition of how they lay across the page, makes for added interest... the whole look reminds me if they have been caught up in moonlight

Yeah! Caught me out! I was expecting some big smelly animals too! lol

I love the perspective and the way the where ppl would sit (dunno what that's called...man holes?) arcs away to the top right!

Sorry to disappoint you but I always have called these Yaks and the folks who paddle in them "Yakkers".

The composition was intentional - from one of my photographs.

It was done in a foggy day as they sat awaiting their passengers. - no moonlight - sorry.

Perspective looks great. Colors very vibrant, a bit loose, but the effects work for me. Perhaps little more solid lines around the man-holes(?) separating the black from the color...but otherwise can't find anything to pick. I think you have a winner!

Sandy - it's a BNoonan original photograph and I love the design - that's why you haven't seen it before. Those are Maine yaks by the way!

Stoy - I see what you mean - especially in the upper - back yaks.

wonder if you might be happier with the top cropped so the two farthest ones are cropped out? the red yak would jump a little more

Yum! Love these delicious colors! I was just reading in the PJ the 'report from the judges' where they said contrast was so important. You got it, girl.

For my 2 cents I'd suggest that you need to do one of two things: either loosen or tighten the blackish straps and details. Right now they distract--if looser they would read with the overall concept well, if tighter they could draw the eye well. I don't know which I'd do, though that hardly matters as it's your painting and I won't do it anyway!
