I hope this is the right place. I wasn't sure where I should ask this question but I am trying to find which artist painted this scene of the Last Supper. If there is a better place, please tell me. I am a begginer in this computor stuff so I hope the image uploads too.

There's no image with either of your posts and there must be a few hundred renditions of the Last Supper, but you probably are referring to the one Leonardo da Vinci painted on the wall at Santa Maria delle Grazie in Milan, which has recently been restored.

Sorry for not replying sooner but my computor is broken.
This painting is not DaVince cause I know the one you are talking about. This one has some of the apostles sitting in front of the table to. Now if I was able to upload the picture it would help.

Dali did a version of the last supper, the reproductions I've seen were kind of bluish. It has a geometrical looking background, and has disciples sitting on both sides of the table.
(Jesus looks suspiciously like Dali's wife, Gala, as well--which earned Dali a great deal of criticism.)
Keith.

Keith,
I did a search on Dali and found his version of the last supper. It's not the one I have. As soon as my computor is fixed I will try to upload my picture again. (Right now I am using my sister's laptop :( )
Thank you for your reply to my search.

Try:
Tintoretto
Bassano
Rosselli
Even Andy Warhol did one although I suspect yours is of the more tradition ilk.

I looked up in an old encyclopedia that was printed in the 50's and saw a last supper painting and it was done by davinci.:)

I know it's been a while, but I only got my computor back a few weeks ago. But then my scanner wasn't working. I really am not lucky. Anyway, I hope I do this right this time and upload this image. I am still looking to find who did this painting of the Last Supper. Thanks all for your help.

:) :)
Would like to help you get your image showing. Do you have an image file on your computer? If so, try to upload the image using the file attachment tool at the bottom of your post.
Right under the area that you type your message are three blocks of tools to use. Find the tool that says ATTACH FILE: and the block BROWSE. Click on BROWSE and it will open up a screen from your computer that will allow you to LOOK IN several areas within your computer. If you don't know how to go further.... let me know and I'll continue.
After you browse and find your file and have it in the blank box beside BROWSE, then just submit your entire message and your image should appear.
You probably already know this, and perhaps are having a problem in another area.
Just let me know how I can help and I will.

Prior to DaVinci, it was traditional practice to place Judas in front of the table in depictions of the last supper.
Here is a link to The Last Supper by Domenico Ghirlandaio which supposedly was at least part of the inspiration for Davinci's. There is of course no way of know if this is the painting you are looking for.

How is this? The original file was too large res-1200 image size-w1500x803. For WC uploads a res should be 72-150 and image size 500wide by 600 high max.
