This is my latest project. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

By the way it is 11"x14", on black Arches paper.

Hey Ron,

This is coming along lovely. I love working on black and have done quite a bit of it... I find it helpful to put down a fairly heavy layer of white first on things that I want to be very clean and bright.. hope that makes sense. Also, the best black board/paper I have found is called Letramax (it has a black core and surface) and its just gorgeous... I did my entry last year for cpsa on that ... it does scuff if you are not careful with it but the black is very black if that doesn't sound too weird...

Great job so far,

Chooky  :D

Eye-popping is, indeed, the best description for those colors on black. Neato! Anxious to see more. To get the darkest dark between the grapes, do you go ahead and use the black colored pencil on top of the black paper? I haven't experimented with such paper.

Hi Chooky,

Thanks so much for the input on the Letramax, I know I can get that locally, so thats good, and thanks for the input on the whit, I appreciate that very much.

Hi yogi,

The black between the paper is the black paper itself. The one great thing with the black paper, is that if you get dust or whatever from your pencil between the grapes, you just cover it up with your black CP.

Ah, I see....that's handy. The paper just seems a little darker between the grapes, but that is an optical illusion. That's cool! You've inspired me to try cp on black. I have some black paper, but haven't had a chance to try it yet. Looking forward to seeing your progress pics.

Paapu if it's your own drawing you start your own thread. This way everyone gets to comment on your work and your work only

This is looking gorgeous Ron  :) ,

Its great to see you covering such a diversity of subject matter and proving that you are as adept with grapes as you are with your magnificent animals. The purple in this is divine, I can't wait to see what else is coming in this, I know it will all be beautifully executed :) .

Big Hugs and much love my friend,
