well, i got great respect for stan his chrome work, and i thought i will give it a try...
I already started in the tread of stan...but i don't think its nice to post it in his tread...so i started my own..
it's no harley i agree, and i think that the most of you never saw a zundapp before so i will place a pic of the zundapp im building at the moment and a pic of the engine im trying to paint...and the first pic of how far i am...
i never used any mask, so don't be to hard on me..hahaha..
i mostly paint dogs and everything freehand..so this is all new to me, i already found the first mistake i made..
I had my own flagprinting business and i made all my film for the screens myself..i tryed the same way on this...
so everything i cut out, i placed it back later....and this is something that not always will work...

Henk, Colorfast Here:
Just wanted to say, you are on your way. The hardest part, (getting started) is now behind ya. Put it in first gear and let it go! We are with ya all the way. I'm working on a project that seems to be never ending. All I can say to you is don't look back.
Later,

i know that there will be a few points...but like i said its my first...
and maybe a little darker...that could be, but im not sure how i will do the backgraound and im afraid taht when i will make the backgroud that it will be to dark.
I get the feeling that when this painting is ready that i will detail it freehand...

henk, I like it so far! I went to your website and saw your zundapp! How many do you own? I love your dog paintings, esp the Lab's!
This is going to be a great painting!
I have done several Harley engines, two of them were commissions, and the other I thought I had around here. I can't find the sucka' though!
Can't wait t see more!

i never use a brush in my airbrush paintings.....
I find it a lot of fun, but if you should do this for a customer.....he should not rush you...
i just doing this to explore myself and see what i can and what i can't
i don't think i will make this for customers....i just do the dog paintings, thats were my heart is.....

hey sam,
what do you mean by support?..
you mean what kind of airbrush i use?..
i use a Evolution double action with a 2 and 4 nozzle
with createx auto air...
i also use beer and a lot of cigarets...hahaha
it's to bad that the evolution isn't available at most country's...this is really a great airbrush.

oh...hahahaha...well i can write a little bit english and read it offcourse,...but sometimes im having problems with some line's..hahaha.. :p
but im painting this on paper.
I got a friend who's got a printing business and i can get paper from him...
the quality is oke for this....and because it isn't for a customer i just paint it on this paper.
Most of the time i do paintings for customers on canvas.

still going ok...but i can tell ya....im a freehand guy...hahahaha..
i have a lot of fun painting this but i like the freehand painting much more.
i got a lot of trouble with some parts, im still building this zundapp so not evrything is on it...so i must imagine a lot of parts, and how the light will reflect on it..
i also cut ones in the paper :( ...lucky i can hide it but i must be more carefull

Hey Sam,
the Evolution with a 2 and 4 nozzle and two size's cups are 154 euro here...
I don't know what the shipping kost but i promise you it's a hell of a airbrush.
Ive tryed the badger but after using the evolution the badger does not work nice..

I checked the link, sounds like a nice airbrush. I didn't see where to buy the needles and nozzles for it and what they cost. I converted the price over to US and it comes out to be $158.59 without shipping, airhose and of course the extra needles and nozzles. Of course with an optional .15 mm and .6 mm set ups I think this is the most versatile airbrush yet. Thanks for the info.
Time to check ebay :)
