Just did this for the WDE, of course didn't quite make the 2 hours. But I'm pretty happy with how this is going...remember, I can't do organic very well! Want to thank Tom (tchris52) for showing me a different way to approach landscapes, because it really helped me with this. So....what do you think???

Hi

It looks very woodsy and cool to me........ we get ..the same polka dot mushrooms up at our cabin during the rainy season....... I've certainly enjoyed your work.....

That title just pulled me in for a look, lol! This is beautifully done, I think you will have to do more of these! I must have missed the thread on this technique, what is the different approach you used here?

Thanks Sandy! Eileen...Tom has a wip of a gorgeous landscape here and I am lousy at landscapes. But I thought I'd try to reproduce it (since it looked like most of the steps were there), with his permission, and some tips from him here and there. So I've basically been learning how to underpaint for certain effects and colors. The OPs have to be adapted but instead of painting a bunch of leaves and then just 'coloring' around them I laid down a bunch of base colors and then worked them. Am hoping to get better with time and practice!

Well, finished it! Had a lot of fun with this one...and I hope I stopped before I overdid it. It's pretty close on colors but the dots in the shadows on the mushroom heads are all blue, not white like the lit parts, so shadow areas show a bit better in real life...hope you like!
