Oxy should be at twice the pressure as the fuel so the 15 psi may be a little high but not beyond reasonable. When you say a tank a week, what size tank?

Some where else on forum it was mentioned a minor torch at about 10-15 psi uses about 10 cubic feet of oxy per hour... If you have a 200cu ft tank, you are going to get about 20 hours (+/-) of torch time.

Alan, a minor will use about 10 cu ft of oxy per hour so you can figure out how long a tank will last. 15 is probably a little high - cut it down to 10 and keep propane at 5. For a bushier flame that is easier to control, cut down the propane to 3 and the oxy to 7 or 8. The flame will be more finely tunable that way.

A refill of $40 I hope is Canadian dollars, not US. I fill my 125 cu ft tank for about $18 and that is high by some folks standards. Any chance you can shop around for a better price? Seems a little high.

Best Wishes,

THanks Dale and Sam for that info...my tank is Maybe about 150 cu ft when I turn my reg on for the first time it goes two of the small spaces past 12,000 I find it hard to keep track of time when I burn I was at least going to keep track of the beads this time so I roughly know how many I can make with a tank.....Sam did you get 20 hrs out of your tank my tank stands about 4 and a half feet high and about maybe 8 inchs across.
