This is a sketch I am working on for myself, mostly cause I never grew out of drawing comics as a kid... Anyway, I'd love to attempt a full figure color pencil piece. Ivy the links are amazing, and a big help... I included the pencil sketch and a computer tinted detail, does anyone have a suggestion how I can re-approach my drawing... sorry this isn't quite cp, but I wanted to give an idea of what I wanted to achieve (the detail), and how I normally work...

Here is the detail blown up, however the hair would be much darker if not almost black...

Thank you in advance... I love this forum...

What are you striving for in this picture - He is gorgeous! When I see him I think that all dark colors in the blue to black range. Than gold and silver for the shield and sword. Cut him out and layer him to get a 3 D effect on a background colored foil paper collage style.
Just an idea.

Bobby, I usually start with one line and go for the next with gusto ;) Afraid I'm not much help in the "people" department...As far as the blades go, the important thing to remember is to leave your highlights in! Will make the metal shiny and I would suggestion some black grape added into the grays on the blades to make them more interesting. If you haven't used it before, black grape is an awesome color :)
