February is for Valentines Day. It's also my birthday month.

Here's the poll!

Oooooooooooh this is tough :( OK I decided, it might be a little late for valentines, so I'll go for fruit :) (It's my birthday month too :D )

Fruit for me too. They always sell well, and I quite like the idea of doing a single fruit on canvas this time (maybe).

I was going to put "frogs" in, but I thought you would all pelt me with rotten tomartoes!

I'd encourage people to do valentine paintings anyway, as it's a nice thing to paint for, knowing your painting will be given with love.

But maybe we should start that now?

I think you're right, Eliza, we need to get valentine art listed ASAP so there aren't any disappointed ladies on 14th Feb! ;)

My abstract florals are doing well....maybe I'll stick with them for another month or so. Fruits sell well....I used to get requests for more when I painted them. Lemons and pears are both popular for some reason.

Hi All,
What do you consider to be valentine art, besides hearts?

:)

Flowers, particularly roses (Give a rose that will never die)

Couples gazing lovelingly into each others eyes, perhaps with a cupid or two in the background... ;)

Paintings of chocolates! (Give a gift that won't affect her girth... well, maybe not)
