Very nice. I like the choice of colors in the composition. How do you like the pastel pencils? I've done a few figure studies with soft pastels but haven't tried the pencils. I like the the soft pastels but sometimes would like to do a sharper line then they allow. It looks like the pencils might help with that.

Nice texture and blending, and an interesting choice of colours.. I have no experience with pastels, so I cant really comment too much on the technique.

I would like to see something in the background...but thats just me.

I'd like to see her placed in somewhere, can be real subtle.... The nice technique you have is diminished by the lack of her hand.

Hi Bill, This is nice. Now why wouldn't I think of using those colours? lol I think I would also like to see her anchored a bit to the background either by adding some tone around her or by going the other way and losing some of the edges on her outline -hmmm..... I think I would go for the latter.

Thanx for all the input...you m ay have noticed most of the time i tend to doodle and then end up not carrying the image to some logical conclusion..sometimes i end up never getting back to finish them...

Bill: Hand... no hand... background... no back ground... It's a great piece. The color is intense, anyone can see you put alot into it, doodle or not... Infact I thought it was oil when I first saw it... Show us some more unfinished work, I don't mind at all... And YEAH, you gotta do this more often...
