I posted this a while back in drawing, but now that we have this wonderful forum, I thought I would put it here. Not too sure if many people saw it anyway, 'cause it was during the down time. It's my parents, done from their wedding picture (not too clear :( )
It was my very first coloured pencil portrait.

Ivyleaf, my parents did love it, I gave it to them for their 33rd wedding anniversary. It gets harder and harder to come up with good gift ideas, so I thought that this would be original. :)

Lulu, I did use toned paper, but for the life of me, I can't remember what kind :confused: . In the few c/p drawings that I have done I think I prefer toned paper, makes life a lot easier, and it gives nice results IMO. :D

This is beautiful your parents must love it. However makes a mouse feel old as I have been married 33 years too. My daughter gave me a
pencil drawing she did of " the kids "
for Christmas this past year I just cherish it as I know your parents do your picture. Tissues please sob sob sob....

Thanks Miss Mouse. Congrats on 33 years!! I love hearing about people that have been married for so many years. My grandparents were married for 66 years, when he passed away. What an inspiration:) . Let's see, I only have another 1,2,3.....28 years to reach the 33 mark and I can't even count that high to get to the 66 mark LOL!! ;)

As for drawings of the kids, my mom got that last year for her birthday:D , so I guess I have to come up with more original ideas the next time around :confused:
