Carly, this is wonderful. You've anchored your trees and managed to keep a sparkle in the water with your reflections. Great Job!

Carly

You have done a great job on the water and reflections.
I like the composition, and the way the water leads into the trees at the back.

Very enjoyable to look at, with such wonderful colours.

Best wishes

Carly,
Lovvvvley! It is very warm, but if you paint most of the time in cool colors, warm ones just "feel" funny. I am painting now in "fall" colors just to break from the cool greens/blues of summer. It's fun and helps learn me how to control those really hot reds and oranges.
Nice one.

Carly, I really am ashamed of myself now. You are doing so much work lately. This piece would look lovely in my living room. I have all earth tones. This is a cozy piece for sure.

Neal, this painting is approx. 22x18 on arches #260. I have the urge to paint another one of these...on some crescent w/c board that I recently bought. It does not soak up quickly and allows for some lifting and moving the paint about. I'm just not ready to tackle another "orange" subject just yet. lol
