again! You'd think I'd be tired of this subject by now! But after painting the landscape with such a loose free feeling, I wanted to capture more of that in my watercolor. So here you are...more roses!
It's 18x24 on 260# arches.

Almost forgot to tell you this is with three colors...Antwerp blue, Gamboge yellow, and perm rose.

I love it! Especially the way the colors merge. How did you get those little white edges on the petals?

Grace, thank you. After doing the initial sketch, I used frisket and a toothpick to put it down along the edges to keep it really narrow.

Yeah!!! Flower Power!!! I must admit Carly...I am a flower person myself. I think it has something to do with the fact that I grew up next to a flower shop..and used to play with another little friend on the flower of the green house....what a wonderful experience!!!
Keep up the beautiful work!!! I loved the trick with the frisket!! I will have to try it!!
