i was going to put this in a finished work thread, but i didn't do a whole lot to finish them. so i figured i'd just put 'em in the show and tell.
both of these beads are encased, and mounted in the burgard bead huggers. i've got a front and back view of each pendant. oink oink...

Shirley, those are stunning!! I'm not familiar with the burgard bead hugger. . . I'll have to look into that!
I posted this in the finished work thread, but decided to post it here too. It's a commissioned piece that was a Christmas gift for a friend's wife. We saw her tonight at a party and she was wearing it. It really looks fabulous on her and she loves it, so I'm very excited! :)

Donner, I get a nighttime passion feeling from the bead, so midnight passion?
12-28-2003, 11:26 AM

Those bead huggers get an A+. The tanzanite set has an excellent presentation. Alex, beautiful sets. Do the ends crack easily on the on the lentil beads? I am looking at the faux malachite focal and the one to the immediate left. Donner, those hearts have some groovy attitude! Me likey!
This is a bracelet that I made for my mom. She did not like the clasp so I replaced it with a lobster claw. Any opinions on better clasps? Karen
In a bit of a hurry so no individual compliments...Everything is yummy, though!!!!
Just a thought - Karen, have you tried the magnetic clasps? I haven't, but have heard they're good. If you're worried about it coming apart, put a bit of a thin chain connecting the bracelet but loose enough that it will still slip over a hand, but then the magnetic will hold it tight...

I love everyone's stuff,, I don't think they look like teeth. I really like them. Here goes my hogging.
Here are the beads that I did with the mosaic green Chris was so kind to send me.
Let me know what you think
I also have some more business card holders
mosiac green with ink blue
mosiac green with silvered ivory
mosiac green with evil purple
mosiac green with rubino

The ends of the lentil beads do crack if I'm not careful about how I apply the glass, but I looked at the bead that you were referring to, and it's not cracked. It looks like it might be in the picture, but it's not. The bead press sometimes leaves indentations if I get a little too much glass on the mandrel, but I don't sell any that are thin enough to crack.

Everything is so wonderful! I adore the business card holders especially. I don't have anything today - just got home from my holiday trip to Portland, so I will be torching today. Lots to do, and here I am drooling at the Show and Tell! :)
